Hello!

this is my first attempt at posting anything here...
(crossing fingers)

It's good to see so many ideas!

Some months ago i was thinking that i'd be good to clearly show is which =
mode the user is.
And ton's post (" - Better 'mode' feedback. Editmode, VertexPaint, =
FaceSelect and the like are blocking modes. This =20
is actually violating general UI design rules... new users have =
problems with it.") reminded me of it.
I saw Daniel's suggestions... I would add changing the header's color =
and fading=20
(well, not really fading, just switching) un-edited obects to less =
visible colors, make=20
them blend with the background in order to isolate the edited object =
from the others=20
(but not as drasticcaly as "local view")

And now, let's move on to materials...

First : why only eight textures to one material?=20
second : the two seperate panels (texture/material) is really quite =
difficult to understand
in the beggining...
I think both could be blended into one. It could be done the following =
way:
when you click on one of the texture buttons (in the material panel) it =
brings up some=20
quick popup and there you find your usual texture settings>> hit enter =
so the settings are stored
and the popup closes.

I hope this is useful

Ciao
