The only thing about this is that gets to deep into technical =
discussions. I
feel no need to learn about the code, although it would help many people =
to
learn how easy it is to implement certain things. Or it would also help =
to
learn the basic concept of how blender works internally.
=20
But again, The Functionality Board is for what the end user sees and =
does
(i.e. new features, improving things we see now, the names of the =
features,
what the user does to use the feature, etc.)
=20
As Ton said earlier: * Avoid technical discussions
>From what I gather the FuBo theoretically works like an "artist-coder
relations team".
We will essentially gather the ideas for blender from the users, and =
pass on
the most viable, and the most wanted features off to the developers as =
jobs
for them to do.
=20
Our job isn't really to analyze the code so much as it is to ask the =
dev-ine
to do the jobs the artist community wants them to do, except we're =
sponsored
by blender.org, so we'd be an official means of gathering the end-users
feelings.
=20
Although I wouldn't mind learning the very basic concept of blender, I =
think
that is doesn't apply that much to what we'd be doing.
=20
But that's just from what I've gathered. I have no authority. I was just
giving you my thoughts on what you had to say.

Hi! I just joined the mailing list. I was wondering about something for =
a
while, and thought I could ask it here.
=20
Would it be possible for a programmer to send e-mails out to help =
beginners
to learn about the blender code? Perhaps going over one module and
describing the different functions, once a week? I'm just a beginner in =
C
and have been able to edit little things in the code, but I think that =
if
someone were to go through the code and just do a bit of explaining for =
each
function it would make it easier.
=20
Just my 2 cents.
