That's the way I want to go. I really need such a generic system because it is 
reuseable in different contexts (not just blend2cs, which I pointed out as an 
example).

I've seen the discussion following on Jorrit's feature request on 
bf-committers (and I even replied to it ;-). But I am not aware of any 
follow-ups about implementation.
