[Bf-funboard] Menu Guidelines

Hi,

I've recently finished the big task of writing up a guidelines document
describing the new pulldown menus in Blender 2.30+. I'm not posting
this here to solicit feedback and opinions on changing this (the time
for that was a few months ago, and is now over), however if there are
any well reasoned and researched *small ideas*, they may be taken into
consideration in future developments.

This is of use to developers wanting to add new features to the menus
and to the Python developers and/or scripters wanting to know where to
put their scripts, in the proposed Python access to menus. From the
point of view of the funboard, it's also useful for people wanting to
mock up additional menus for the remaining window spaces (yes, it's a
big job and still not finished). The main thing is so you can see the
thought processes behind the menu structure and understand how they all
fit together, which may be useful to know for whatever reason.

The document is available here:
http://www.blender.org/docs/UIGuidelines/menus/menus-intro.html

and is linked from the Documentation section of www.blender.org.

Cheers

Matt
