I have used various CAD/CAM Systems since late 1970’s. Each of these have a basic philosophy underlying their Computer Implementations. The major philosophies are - A Drafting Board (CADAM etc.), A Surface Mesh (Blender etc.) and a Finite Element Solid (CATIA, FreeCAD etc.).

Therefore it will be very helpful for a newbie to Blender if there is an introductory video that describes the foundational philosophy of Blender.

Blender is a very powerful Surface Mesh System, and a newbie will be overwhelmed by the shear number ways a newbie can interact with Blender to use its extensive capabilities to get a specific job done.

I therefore suggest that a Concept Map be developed and installed as the Home Page of Blender.org <http://blender.org/>.

The following free tool l can be used to develop a Concept Map of Blender <https://cmap.ihmc.us <https://cmap.ihmc.us/>>
