Hi,

Personal work assignment is the best way to avoid any "trust issue".
Any "technical" solution above won't tell you that the homework is done 
by the same student or not or any "expert".

You can also ask them any kind of screencast /macro record to generate a 
beautiful time-lapse from their work : it's nice, fun (show how their 
work evolve) and may be a solution for your question.
