[Bf-education] The Blender Education website

are you going to make just money using Blender Education, or, is this
possible to put a random free content on your site? What business model do
you allow? What about localized version for national services?
The domain says much (and really this name should be taken with full
responsibility for the whole Education Related To Blender), and I wonder if
the Blender Education should have something to do with paid services. The
question is what BF is thinking about this also :)
As far as I understand, this site is for making money by tutors who put
their courses there; and they (somehow) have to be paid by people who like
to attend. Please correct me if I'm wrong. If this is the model then I
don't like the idea. CGCOOKIE is then more open, allowing free content.
But, as I said, I can misunderstand something... Please tell us a bit more

> Hello everyone,
> I wanted to tell you all about a new website that I have launched recently
> and that could be very interesting to you all. I am talking about
> www.blendereducation.com, a website targeted on private tutoring,
> mentoring, support and coaching. Special about this website is that there
> is not a team behind it, but rather that it is a platform for everyone to
> use. So anyone can become a student and anyone can become a coach. The
> website offers both parties a place to present themselves, offers the tools
> necessary such as fora, chat rooms, video chat, … and takes care of the
> administration and payments.
> Currently the website is finished, but we have decided to start slowly
> with a limited number of users. Anyone can apply for this ‘beta’ phase and
> use the website for free during this time (only the website will be for
> free, not the coaches). For more information and details, visit the website
> and the about section.
> Besides informing you all, I would also like to ask 2 questions:
> 1)If there is anyone interested in joining the beta either as a student or
> as a coach, feel free to send me an email. You can use the contact page on
> the website for this. If anyone has students interested in learning
> Blender, then perhaps you can inform them of this website and they could
> participate in the beta during their summer break. (Please notice that they
> should be of legal age or ask permission from their parents before hiring
> 2)Secondly, I wanted to ask for a little help in promoting the website. As
> you can imagine, a website like this can only work if it has sufficient
> support. I tried to make it as easy as possible to do this: just go to our
> facebook, twitter or google+ page and you will find a message that you
> can share and retweet or copy to other social media, mailing lists or fora.
> The more people spread the news, the more people will find the website and
> the more interesting it will become, so ask others to do the same.
> Thank you all for any help you can give and I hope to see you on the
> Best regards
