If you mean learn the basics of Blender, then you might check

Also you can get all of the Blender Foundation DVDs which are CC licensed
content which have lots of training related to blender.

If the interest is more specifically animation itself (character animation
especially), some of the Blender Foundation DVDs cover it, but likely an
instructor will be needed to provide feedback.
