One thing you may find is that Blender is well documented online and many free resources and people willing to help others learn of Blender 3D software. For a true beginner you may check out Neil Hersig of Tuffts University for a free online course. This is just one of many courses around the web. Of course a great place to start is the blender.org site and start exploring links and information that includes links to tutorials and resources.
