[Bf-education] book?

OK, I like the way that the "Missing Manual" books are written and I was
thinking about one for blender, it seems appropriate .  That said... Can the
book keep up with the open source world? and to make things better I am
learning Blender... from scratch.  Are there enough available resources for
Blender, where are they, how can you help, and what is the best direction
for the book?  I want to include excellent coverage of python and at least
one hardy chapter on the gaming environment.
