Hello,

Historias Nativas, http://historiasnativas.macuare.org/ is a project that
started trying to be an open movie project. We knew that in our country,
there was so few artists that were working with Blender, so we did the call
to participate in workshops first (one generally basic and
another specialized in their working area with the help of latinamericans
BFCT) and then started production, so, everybody was at a learning level in
their specific area. This learning condition led to a series of
very difficult situations on production. We did this from a production
company and our idea was to begin in the 3D animation field, but due to
funding problems we had to temporally stop production for some months.

We had a break in the project and started again with a new team, this team
was also new to Blender and did receive the initial workshops, but the
learning curve kept making a lot of noise in the production environment. So
we are now changing strategies and will try to include more specialized
artists, but really almost none have studio experience with Blender.

Anyhow, after the first chapters of the series are finished, we would like
to transform the production in a specifically learning project, that could
be organized more like a class - assignment dynamic. So a study program
could be applied and the deadlines are not set by production but by
learning processes. Also keeping the classes regular in the specific area.

Funding could be met by our state or by students, also half and half.

Well any feedback of what all of you think of this experience, new ideas or
any other comment, are most welcome ;)

Thanks!

Ernesto Del Valle
