Hello again:

I am working on translating the video tutos at blender3d.org to spanish, in
order to offer them for all the spanish comunity. I think this, and the user
and reference manuals (which I think are been translated by someone...) are a
great value we allready have, and I think it is better not to repeat works...
:)

The full videos collection is too big for me to host them once translated, and
I would ask permision and space somewhere to upload and mantain them. Also, I
work on Macs and I can only record the new audio files in spanish, but I also
need somebody to add them to the video channel (I cannot edit fine avid
videos). I plan to use the same duration, so the edition would be just copy
and paste...

Thank you in advance,
Gustavo Muñoz

You have to a be a bit more specific on which tutorials you talk about.
All the old tutorials from the blender.nl days (like on
download.blender.org), and the tutorials as included (not linked to!)
on www.blender3d.org are free to be copied, translated and distributed.
Although it isn't clearly stated everywhere, we apply the OpenContent
license for it, which you can find here;
http://download.blender.org/documentation/NaN_docs/license.txt

It's like GPL, but with a restriction about (abusive) crediting people.

Yes, you're very welcome of course! I know many highs schools world
wide have already been using Blender in classes. We hope this mailing
list will with exchanging information on it, resulting in a good
section on our website with educational material, for example.

Cool, I wished I had computer animation as example when I did math on
highschool, would have understood the fun & use of it much earlier! :)
Probably using Python scripts, for simple math controlled animations,
is a good idea as well. I've seen things like the famous 'swarm'
screensaver being coded in Blender for 3d objects.

Hi,

None of the video tutorials we link to have been created by us, so you
have to contact the original authors for permission.
For the time being we also won't host language versions of docs,
webpages, videos, trainings, etc. That will give a far too high load on
our web team, who already cannot cope with all issues on the todo.

Instead, we really depend on the enthusiast community sites out there,
check the listing on www.blender3d.org!
