Whoops, I just realised how horribly written that last reply was, so I'll
rewrite what I said:

>

Am Samstag,
I just contacted the author, and I understand what you are saying. I hope
the following will help you understand my point of view of the article in
question...

I have attempted to rewrite the article in a slightly more formal matter,
while keeping the majority of the original author's work (including putting
some of their idioms in brackets which, if you read the rewritten article,
you may see what I mean) so as to avoid disrespecting their work.

The majority of what they wrote was quite useful, anyway (barring the
introduction, which was completely unnecessary and awfully stereotypical -
go to edit history and read their version if you wish to understand what I
mean) so I did not have to do much, as it were.

The only exception, in my view, which I intend to completely rewrite, is
their section on using Render Passes with Nodes, which is currently a little
difficult to follow. I am only hindered in rewriting this section by the
inability to upload files to the server (an issue currently being resolved,
I am told) but should be edited by next week.

If you wish to know my view on wiki's as a whole:

I believe that these articles are here to be rewritten, albeit while keeping
the useful information. If Roger (the author) did not want his work to be
rewritten, he probably wouldn't have posted it.

They should be in a format that, while not being overly dull, does actually
give the user useful information while not putting them off as being too -
amateur-ish.

I do not believe I have done anything wrong (heck, in the Open Source
philosophy, I haven't done anything wrong!), I have merely taken a work and
turned it in such a way that I perceive is better

And remember, if you object, you can always edit the article yourself...
