This is incorrect - the actual photographic definition of 'depth of
field' is the depth (distance in Z) that is in focus. Shallow (small)
depth of field is blurry, and wide (large) depth of field is in focus.
So F/2 gives a smaller depth of field than F/11.

This probably is confusing for many people who asume DOF is a scale of
blur, not sharpness, so for clarity, I'd suggest:

"F/stop ratio (lower numbers give more defocus, higher numbers give a
sharper image)"
