[Bf-cycles] GPU future

I'm a GTX 560ti 2Gb + Cycles happy user, but here and there I listen to
doubts on the future of GPU in renders.
- Is there limitations for implementing complex shaders, like real SSS?
- Is it possible/usefull an hibrid CPU+GPU aproach?
- It will ever be OSL in GPU?
In general, what is the horizon for GPU in Cycles?
