Hi everyone,

With more parts of Blender moving to C++ some of the shortcomings of
old-style DNA structures started to become a bit of annoyance for on-going
development (compiler warnings, not-so-semanticly-obvious code, ...).

Me and Jacques did some ground work to make operations on DNA structures
from C++ code more modern and more in a way which C++ developers
expect them to be.

We've covered a handful of DNA structures, but there are much more to
cover. Likely, it is a straightforward process, which is easy to multi-task
and has the full benefit of module developers and volunteers around!

More details of what and how are written up in the
https://developer.blender.org/T96847

If you have any questions talk to me on blender-coder chat.

Best regards,
- Sergey -
