* Apple joined the development fund [1] and is contributing a Metal backend
for Cycles [2].

Welcomes
=========
* Michael Jones from Apple now has commit rights to the Blender repository
to work on this project. Welcome!

Blender 3.0 bcon3
==============
* Dalai Felinto proposed (in #blender-coders) to move bcon3 to a week
later, on October 27.
* Bastien Montagne proposed instead to move the incomplete targets to 3.1
instead.
* They will talk on Tuesday, October 19, and will report back.
* Meanwhile, if anyone else has a new point to make please do it here in
bf-committers or in #blender-coders (tagging @dfelinto).
