Hey there!

Around the beginning of the summer, I decided to submit each of my tools as
a separate patch, so that my work may be progressively integrated into 2.8.
I already submitted a patch for the extend tool.

I am sending this email hoping there might be someone with a little free
time who might be able to look at the patch and give some feedback :) the
