Hi,

The Blender ID add-on requires explicit user actions in order to connect to the Internet (the user has to enter credentials and press Login).

Quite sure this is still true, checked current add-ons, there are a
few that download/upload content but these are all explicit actions.

- game_engine_publishing, operator to download blenderplayer for other
platforms.
- io_online_sketchfab: operator to upload content (the main purpose of
the add-on).

I'm not sure about blender-id, from the readme it seems like add-ons
that use it would not be doing some hidden/background communication -
Francesco/Sybren can better speak to this.

From a quick look at addons_contrib (not included in releases) these
aren't doing any hidden communication either.
