I suspected about OpenEXR at first. However, it is possible the change
from glibc caused a conflict with OpenEXR. I will contact the maintainer
to rebuild it. You are right that libXi has nothing to do with upon
close look.
It looks like OpenEXR hasn't being built against GCC 6.2 and I file a
bug report to its maintainer:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1383552

I will follow up whether the new build is successful or not.
