[Bf-committers] Why must sync selection be disabled to select UV islands?

I meant Border Select (shortkey "b"), Sorry for the confusion.
Maybe the other term slipped into my memory from usage
with another tool :-[
Nevertheless i believe that selecting an island via Border select
(or Lasso select) and selecting the island by using "L" should
give identical results.
And i agree that using any select tool in vertex selection mode
might be less useful than using it in face selection mode.
