I had a thought, what about posting ideas for development that you wish to
see happen, and then have 'micro' kickstarters for each piece, this way the
community can pay for development, buy paying for features they would enjoy?

This is my own model for a game and development pipeline, I am on selling
on steam and the blender market. Open source.
