[Bf-committers] Mutual dimensions change with proportional scaling

Hi,
In my community a discussion was raised about new and wonderful possibility
of changing scale of the object in three sliders, by moving the mouse
across all of them. For scale sliders, this is working, and for dimensions
it works too.
But there is an uniform rescaling for dimensions entered by the keyboard.

Let's say: we have a cube scaled to dimensions 2x4x6. If we drag the mouse
over dimension sliders, and type 3 in x-dimension slider, then all
dimension sliders will be set to the value of 3. This works exactly the
same like for scale, and all sliders are changed at once.

While it is very good feature, the simple problem arised. What is we'd like
to change x-dimension and have all other dimensions changed to maintain
proportions?
Is there any possiblity to put "3" in dimension slider of x, and have
another dimensions scaled accordingly to maintain proportions? Of course
after dragging over them with mouse.
What would you say?

best regards
Piotr
