I am on 1600x900 screen here, and with the default of 1 row (when we 
don't have entries in the list anyway) it gives a bit of space.
In my case I don't see the Properties editor scrollbar now in this 
default state.

What is wrong with that? Also the lists automatically become larger (up 
to 5 items) when you add more items.
