[Bf-committers] Revision number in the splash screen

Hi devs,

In our wiki, the "Migration to Git and Phabricator" page says:

     Which git revision number goes in the splash screen?

    The SHA hash from git would be the simple solution. If we want
    incrementing numbers we could do things like count the number of
    commits since the beginning or since the last release, or include
    the branch name. No decision here yet.

Is there no decision still?

I dislike the hash...
