[Bf-committers] A better way to display the Weight value in weight Paint mode ?

>From a purely UX point of view the multicolor mockups are better even
though they may look worse in the UI.  It shows you without having to
"play" with the widget exactly where you need to be at a glance.  The other
one is an improvement over the current solution, but not as nice overall.

I guess it depends on the goal.  Are we looking to A) Make a widget that
does not intrude too much on overall look of the UI, yet gives more
functionality than exists currently or B) Make a widget that gives a lot of
info at a glance, but is very helpful to power users, but that might not
look great when taken in context of overall UI?
