[Bf-committers] Background gradient for 3D viewport

We could maybe draw grid lines twice using different line widths and
colours, same as uv editor does for uvs. As for making the gradient
have world semantic meaning, we could draw a world aligned sphere. It
could work with both ortho and perspective cameras
