Yeah, I checked the crash backtrace, I agree it's a driver bug.

Just to be clear: The bug doesn't happen by simply doing an initial 
select of an object in default scene, but rather when you select one 
object and then try to select another different object (the crashing 
happens), i.e. multi-selection. I'll mention this in the Mesa bug tracker.
