Hi Marcelo,

I want just to point out that Fabio Russo (ruesp83) is currently
develloping some layers feature in Blender, you can check out his
current WIP on his website - it hasn't been updated for a while but he
is still working on it - ruesp83.com.

Cheers,

Kévin.

I may need to learn more about how the projects are managed. About 4 weeks ago, after a frustrating attempt to build using MS-VC and MinGW, I finally had my built done under a Mint machine. BTW... good job for whoever wrote the Wiki for Linux.

But it is really bad for rigid bodies for my taste and Blender does well both (to up to 2 million faces in my machines). The Mudbox features for sculpting was good but the layer sculpting and layer painting feature blew my mind. Also, the Gimp/Photoshop like features like Clone, Burn/Dodge etc was also amazing. So that I would consider to dedicate some of my time to add some of these features in Blender in case nobody else is implementing or willing to implementing those.

Filter codecs, parsers, media protocols and etc. However, I would like to avoid writing media code (audio/video stuff) for Open-Source projects to avoid conflict of interest with my current job.
