I'd certainly favor merging now, it is already quite useful to end
users, it isn't 'buggy' and you actively fix bugs that are found.  It
doesn't really have much risk of negatively impacting other projects.
While you still have features you want to implement before it is
'done' I think most users will find what is available now more than
enough to work with.

Obviously would be nice to get documentation done - perhaps ask the
user community to help with it.
