[Bf-committers] Color pipeline todo: alpha

Hi,

I am glad that the foundation focus on fixing those kind of issues. I might
not seems important to all users but it is a deal breaker for some
others. Sergey did a fantastic job already. Good job guys.

I don't think having Blender behave differently if you texture paint to a
byte a float buffer is a good idea. My preference would be to let the user
chose and have sane defaults based on how the image was created.

Alpha Premultipled for render results and compositons is good for me,
straight colors for painting too.

Regarding vocabulary, I like the therms "Alpha premultiplied colors" and
"Straight colors" they are commonly used and communicate well whats
happening.
