On my Ubuntu 11.04 laptop I use FFMPEG 0.8.2 so same as you, and on my
Gentoo system it is version 0.7.3 (don't know how long the 0.7 series
will work still, or when 0.8.x will be a hard dependency).

I can't tell from your output what the problem is. Do you use Scons
and have you tried a 'scons clean'? I started a thread about FFMPEG
0.8.x compilation on BlenderArtists.org:

and a few people have solved their problems already.
