[Bf-committers] UI changes from cycles branch

So has there been a conclusive "This is what will be merged"? Or is
everyone still not sure. I would love to see the agreed upon changes merged
sooner rather than later if possible, then you can start to see feedback
from people using the development versions of Blender.

I don't know how a decision is normally made on these kinds of topics but
it would be great to see one made.
