Oh yes!
I can confirm. It has been a problem for a long time, I first noticed it about six months ago when I got a new machine. It's been discussed over at IRC, but no resolutions yet.
My Mac Pro cannot really be used for simulations at all, my MacBook Pro is a lot faster. This is a bit weird since my pro is an 8-core machine, while the laptop is dual core.
I tried compile using newer gcc versions through macports, but always ran into (for me) unsolvable errors.
