[Bf-committers] Blender 2.57a AHOY!

ack! theres a bug in 2,57a from the event commits which makes blender
crash for menus that load a new file.
* Ctrl+N, Enter
* Ctrl+O, Enter

noticed yesterday (after release) some users on blendernation had this too.

After all the work that went into making 2.57a stable, its a shame to
let things like this bite us.
Fix was simply to move a NULL check above the handler freeing code,
double checked and events will be freed either way.
committed fix r36287.

Not sure how much work is involved with a rebuild but this seems like
a good reason for one.
