[Bf-committers] Texture assignment workflow is confusing

I agree and would like to morph your idea into using the existing node groups, 
as we have those already and it builds on a successful idea. Perhaps we could
use a better way to have those groups in a library, where they are readily accessible.
If the old texture stack did not make it into 2.53, 
and we went only with texture nodes,
I would not shed a tear at all.

I think that nodes are much more simple to understand than the stack
method because you can see where the data comes from and where it goes
too. Nodes already have a simple and a detailed view that you can turn
on and off for each node.

I think to make the system really easy and fun we need to have a meta
node. A meta node would he something like glass. The glass meta node
could be defined in another node page instance. Perhaps you double
click a meta node and it opens the page that contains the details of
that meta node.
