I'm not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread or another, but
will the features/plugins be available through something similar to
the Ubuntu Synaptic packages, with categorizable updates to the
internal DB of available features?

i know their was discussion of .blend files being vulnerable when
downloaded, and when submitted they could be malicious with no real
'noticable' signs, so will their be a safe repository for these
features if not included in the official download?
