[Bf-committers] libtiff linking

Is there any reason we still dynamically load libtiff?, Why don't we
static link like OpenEXR, or link normally as we do with libjpeg.

Just had some problems rendering images because of missing libtiff,
since its used for mipmaps It could be good to include with blender.

Is this dynamically linked because of LZW compression patent
problems?? if so, the patent has now expired.
