It appears that Dr. Levy made the source code to his automatic uv
seaming paper available as a plugin to the GPL2 licensed graphite.

(The autoseam code doesn't list a license so contacting Dr. Levy for
confirmation of the license).

So it would appear that perhaps the automated UV seams tool will be a
simpler project than anticipated.
