+1 on the importance of an easy-to-use and intuitive knife tool and loop cut. I use it all the time to add detail where I need it, without introducing tris.

Loopcut is one of *the* most-wanted features in 2.5, so I figured
waiting for macros to improve to a more usable level wasn't a good
idea. I will be modifying the code to make more use of macro features
as they become available/stable.
