[Bf-committers] Shapes / Shape Keys - confusing terminology

I agree with "blend shape" or "morph target".

Both terms are very descriptive and commonly used/understood by 3d graphics
practitioners,
so they are no chosen because they are "used by other 3D software".

"shape" lacks meaning.
