**** 2.49
- Some complaints went on that too many new (although good!) GE stuff
went in svn last weeks, postponing release. Benoit promised it's done
for now though. :)
- 64 bits windows version is having strange issues, Daniel G. checks on
it.
- better python docs for GE:
http://www.blender.org/documentation/249PythonDoc/GE/
- urgent call to help with demo files to show GE features! Preferably
from someone who follows progress well, to assist Benoit. He will also
upload his own test files.
- Dalai moves bugfixes for dome rendering to svn
- Matt D. provided fix for mousewheel zoom bug in Windows, Thomas D.
commits
- Proposal: next week final verdict, and then call for real release!
**** GSoC
- Official start is in a week. Everyone's still invited to check on the
docs:
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Ref/GSoC/2009
Especially Jingyuan Huang's work is ready for end-user feedback, she
didn't get yet much in via blenderartists forums.

**** Current projects
- Martin P. reviewed http://www.littlecms.com/
It's a small color profiles and proofing library. He likes to see
someone interested to take this further later, will commit it to 2.5
branch now.
- BF rented a small (10x20 feet) booth on Siggraph now. Unfortunately
all big corporate sponsors suffer crisis still. Also a smaller booth
will be fun, 4 systems + big display, and have lots of fun! Volunteers
interested to demo can contact me. There's a small (unknown yet) amount
of free Siggraph passes for the active demo crew, and in addition a
larger amount (over 30 ?) free 'exhibit only' passes. For the latter
I'll do a public call later.
**** Blender 2.5
- UI work progresses, but slow still. Expectation is that now 2.49 is
nearly out, durian preparations are settled, things speed up more.
Siggraph remains target!
