[Bf-committers] 2.49 release proposal

I'm afraid that 2.49 will slow down 2.5 too much. It might be faster to add
the current features to 2.4x than to 2.5x but that will most likely slow
down the release of 2.5. I say take longer to release 2.5 in order to make
it more stable and forget the 2.49 release.
