Hi Lukas,
I've access to VS2008 Pro at work (and VS2005 Pro at home) and have a
WindowsXP SP3 box with an ATI Radeon X1900. Would be happy to help out
if you can tell me what needs to be done.

I've had a quick flip through the compilation instructions at
www.blender.org/development/building-blender/ and that seems reasonably
straightforward.
