Hello,

The problem Debian had with Firefox was not regarding the GPL license 
but about the problem which Mozilla had with Debian:

Wikipedia - "In February 2006, Mike Connor, representing the Mozilla 
Corporation <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozilla_Corporation>, wrote to 
the Debian bug tracker and informed the project that Mozilla did not 
consider the way in which Debian was using the Firefox name to be 
acceptable."

So there won't be any change for debian packages regarding Blender. The 
rules on the blender.org webpage are the same which have been 
communicated by the Blender Foundation for a while.
