1) -
Personally, Id like to see a way cross reference buttons/menu's with
an online reference.  ( could extend the tooltips with an ID that isnt
drawn)
if it was a wiki, users could fill in the help content for each URL, a
part of this project could include a way to download the wiki docs for
offline use.

2) - You'd need to expand on this. what about supporting more line
drawing options for curve objects (width, dashed lines, colored lines)
- you could test this with the DXF importer.

3) - At this point its not easy to know where newer users could help out.
