You can add it to the tracker now, but it is almost certainly not
going to be reviewed prior to 2.46 release.  It is certainly a feature
that I'd love to see in Blender after 2.46, and I'm sure that it will
quickly get added to a number of individuals personal builds once you
put it in the tracker.
