Hi all!

I could briefly (its well written ? ;) connect today. (but dont for long)

After trying unsuccessfully to improve the speed of unstructured huge
datasets to usable levels I decide to stop wasting my time and jump into
a better documented area as structure (means arrays/matrix) datasets.

This way the hard implementation of unstructured datasets could be
developed (if needed) after the thesis completion or with the help of a
programmer that knows better the field.

Last nigth I finish a promised feature that I have forgotten to
implement in the core of volumetrics: Adaptative sampling. with this
new features for even big sampling step you get good cuality increasing
the sampling rate in inhomogeneus zones and decreasing the sampling
rate in homogeneous areas.

Im now toying with the implementation of stable fluids and porting it
into C in order to try , once I complete the render from arrays dataset
feature, to integrate it into volumetrics (I love the Navier-Stokes
fluids) so may be
(I could not do promess yet) I will integrate smoke simulations sooner
than I thougth in blender. It will be of much help to investigate first
how the others simulations are integrated into the render pippeline.

I continue in my vacations and wish all
the best.
                                        Farsthary
