[Bf-committers] exit in blender

quit.blend is a weak solution to me,
* editmode changes are not saved
* it isnt created if users dont have write permissions to the temp dir
(apparently this happens on some windows setups)
* loading the blend file from a different location will break relative
linked library data.
IMHO blender should ask for quitting like most other apps do.

at the moment this is the most requested for change on
http://www.blenderstorm.org/qapoll/ideas/most_popular_ever/
developers like being able to open/close blender fast for testing, but
I think users would rather their work is not lost by accident.
