For peach i also beleive that a LOD system is need to peach, it would
certainly decrease mem usage in both rendering and animating, i have
coded basic dist functionality to the decimat mod,check the patch to see
the problems.
also fur dosn't need to be rendered fully when you can't really see it
eg. the character is far away
that should decrease mem usage immensly
Basically LOD algos need to be embedded in the renderer itself and in
the models
